The cottage was great clean, tidy very comfortable. The first thing you see out of the window in the morning is the sea a great view, it's also very quiet there which is my myself and my partner enjoyed it so much just a quiet place to chill out. If you enjoy walking then take the coastal trail it's fantastic, we had a great time at boatmans cottage and look forward to going back. Mr H, Grantham, Lincolnshire 25 October 2010
The boatman's cottage did not dissapoint. it was very quaint. Once there it was wonderful, with fantastic views of the Moray Firth from the bedroom windows. We highly recommend following the whisky trail and visiting some of the whisky distilleries, especially the Glenfiddich one and Glen grant one which has a beautiful garden to walk around at your leisure, and is well worth it. The Baxter visitor center and the Speyside Cooperidge are well worth a visit too, very interesting. The coastal trail from Buckie to Portknockie was lovely, we saw many sea birds and watched the grey seals swimming in the sea. Mr H, Grantham, Lincolnshire 24 October 2010
I thought it would be any golfers dream, with the best possible practice and playing area about half a mile from the cottage. Buckie had enough facilities with general stores, great home bakers, the best fish monger I have seen for many ayear at Eat Mair Fish, butchers with the best of Scottish produce, and local people who just wanted to help. I don't think the website mentioned that the cottage had a full bathroom downstairs, and a linked en-suite with shower upstairs, that was a real bonus, and I don't remember it mentioning the sea view. I was aware that it was only a stones through away from the Moray Firth but not that we had views of it from the cottage. Mr G, Barnoldswick, Lancashire 26 September 2010
Just a quarter of a mile to a beautiful golf course! Very cosy couches. Mr P, Drunen 25 November 2009
